Vertical handling

Bucket Elevator Manufacturer in Chennai

The cheapest way to take bulk material straight up. Centrifugal discharge for free-flowing material at speed, continuous discharge for anything fragile or sluggish. Fill factor is what people get wrong — a starved boot will quietly cost you a third of the rated capacity.

Options we build in

  • Backstop on the drive — essential, stops a power cut running the column backwards
  • Belt sag and misalignment switches
  • Inspection doors on both legs
  • Boot cleanout door and drag-back plate
  • Dust-tight casing with vent connection
  • Screw take-up at the boot

How we build it

Discharge type decides the whole machine. Centrifugal elevators run fast and throw the material clear at the head — right for free-flowing grain and granules. Continuous elevators run slow and let the material roll off the back of the bucket in front — right for fragile or sluggish material. Get that choice wrong and the machine recirculates its own load no matter how well it is built.

Bucket Elevator — common questions

Centrifugal or continuous discharge?
Centrifugal for free-flowing, non-fragile material at higher throughput. Continuous for fragile, sluggish, hot or very fine material where a fast throw would cause breakage or blow-back. The head geometry differs, so it has to be decided before fabrication.
What causes material to fall back down a bucket elevator?
Usually belt or chain speed that does not match the head pulley diameter, so the material leaves the bucket at the wrong point in the arc. Boot flooding and worn buckets do the rest. Our bucket elevator calculator sizes speed against lift.

Send the material, the throughput and the centre distance or lift. That is normally enough for a budgetary figure within two working days.
