How we build it

A spiral buys height in a footprint a straight incline could never fit. Because the belt is turning constantly, the curve radius, belt tension and drive position have to be worked together — the mistake on a cheap spiral is a radius too tight for the belt, which then tracks off and wears on the inner rail. We set the radius from the belt first and design the column around it.

How much floor space does a spiral conveyor need?

Far less than an inclined belt for the same lift — typically a 1.6–2.6 m diameter column depending on belt width and curve radius. Send us the lift, the belt width and the product size and we will give you the column diameter.

Can a spiral conveyor be used for cooling?

Yes. A spiral is a common cooling tower for bakery and ready-meal lines because the long belt path gives you dwell time in a small footprint. It is built in SS 304 or SS 316 with an open mesh belt for airflow.
